Third-Party Services

Analytics for are self-hosted and do not use cookies. The analytics platform anonymizes all IP addresses, and at least one octet of IP data is truncated. Device information for a visit is stored: browser version, browser language, browser operating system version, and device browser resolution. Additionally, any links accessed on a visit to, visit times, page generation time, and if applicable, the referrer website, that is, the website that sent the visitor to are also stored.

Information derived from Richard Eaglespoon’s analytics is not shared with any third parties.


The cookies used by Richard Eaglespoon are exclusively feature cookies, cookies integral for implementing specific site functionality. For example, How to Pizza uses cookies to enable users to save and load Dough Calculator configurations.

Feature cookies are used on other recipes on Richard Eaglespoon to let users account for ingredients. All cookies on Richard Eaglespoon are entirely processed on the client side, and cookies are never analyzed by a server.

Richard Eaglespoon is not configured to respond to Do Not Track (DNT) signals from browsers.

Mailing List

The Richard Eaglespoon mailing list is self-hosted and stores a list of email addresses. Names are not collected through the mailing list. A third-party Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) server, like Google’s, is used to send individual emails for the mailing list. Exclusive to the SMTP server, email addresses will not be directly shared by Richard Eaglespoon with a third party.

Upon unsubscribing, user information will be permanently deleted from the Richard Eaglespoon mailing list. A “List-Unsubscribe” header is included in emails to enable some users to unsubscribe through the mail client with one click, and additionally, an unsubscribe link will be provided in each email sent. In the event that the mailing list moves to third-party service, an email notice will be sent to subscribers informing them of the move no less than 14 days prior to the service change.
